Data Analyst - Consumer Health
Southampton, Hybrid
We're looking for a Data Analyst to own data analytics and business intelligence at a fast-scaling consumer health company in Southampton.
This is a hands-on Data Analyst role with real ownership: you'll build the SQL models, BI dashboards, and commercial insight that drive decisions across the business, while partnering with the Tech team on a modern data stack - including data warehouse design, tooling selection, and reporting architecture.
About the role
This is not a passive reporting position. As Data Analyst, you will own decision-grade analytics across Commercial, Product, Clinical, Fulfilment, and Customer Operations - turning data into insight and insight into action. You'll also play a key role in building the company's cloud-based customer data warehouse and BI stack, moving beyond the current SQL and Geckoboard setup toward a scalable single source of truth.
Key Responsibilities
Define and maintain a KPI framework and deliver self-serve BI dashboards used weekly by senior leadership
Own analysis across funnel performance, customer acquisition, conversion, retention, cohort behaviour, and unit economics
Partner with the Tech Director on data warehouse architecture - including cloud tooling, data modelling, and BI layer design
Contribute to data pipeline decisions: ingestion, transformations, semantic layer, and reporting infrastructure
Own data quality - build validation processes, reconcile metrics, and eliminate reporting inconsistencies across teams
Deliver commercial insight across pricing, product mix, churn, adherence, and customer experience
Support A/B testing and experiment measurement: test design, measurement plans, and post-analysis readouts
Improve data literacy across the business through clear storytelling and accessible reporting for non-technical stakeholders.
About You
You’re an analytical, pragmatic problem-solver with experience turning data into commercial insight in a consumer-facing business. You combine strong technical skills with the ability to communicate clearly and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
Essential experience and skills:
Essential Skills
Advanced SQL skills with a proven track record delivering analytics that drives business decisions
Experience in DTC, eCommerce, consumer services, subscription, or other high-volume digital environments
Proven ability to build BI dashboards and reporting outputs that are actively used by leadership teams
Strong analytical skills - able to translate ambiguous business questions into structured, actionable insight
Rigorous approach to data quality, metric definitions, and reporting accuracy
Strong stakeholder management skills across commercial, technical, and operational functions
Desirable Skills
Hands-on experience with modern data stack tools - data warehouses (e.g. BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift), transformation tools (e.g. dbt), and BI platforms (e.g. Looker, Metabase, Power BI, Tableau)
Familiarity with data modelling concepts and how to design analytics infrastructure for scale
Background in healthcare, regulated industries, or repeat-purchase subscription businesses
Experience working close to senior leadership in a high-trust, fast-paced environment
