NAMED COLLECTIVE has over 1.5m highly engaged community members and customers on our socials and has already generated profitable 15x growth over the past 4 years. We’re only scratching the surface of what’s possible for the brand internationally, with 35% of sales in the UK, 35% in the USA and 30% across the rest of the world from our one eCommerce store.
About the Role
Reporting to NAMED COLLECTIVE’s Co-founders and Business Operations Director, you will manage everything ‘People’, refining and building our culture which will result in a high performance, resilient team that celebrates success and learning from failure, and finds and retains the right talent.
You will solution-drive and support as our business continues to evolve and scale and help to build an incredible culture for our team and all our people and be a ‘best in class’ employer. We’ll look for you to identify areas to improve processes and ways of working and make things easier and better for our business and all our people.
Accountabilities will include...
- Refine & Develop NAMED COLLECTIVE’s Culture in-line with our vision;
- Build a best in class People Function;
- Manage all Talent Acquisition and Retention
- Build a ‘best in class’ Culture & Wellbeing
- Admin / Legal / Payroll etc
- Foster a high performing team and act as an enabler for success;
- Manage NAMED COLLECTIVE's headcount in line with our objectives and effectively manage growth & change, have the right resources in place at the right time;
- Manage the whole employment life cycle, create job descriptions, use tools like Applicant Tracking Systems, deploy an exceptional on-boarding and retention process;
- Elevate our employer profile
- Develop, review and update policies, procedures and processes as agreed with the Co-founders/BOD;
- Identify training requirements and incorporate into training plans;
- Improve People processes such as terms, contracts, compensation, benefits and payroll;
- Ensure consistency of practice and standards of delivery throughout all functions;
- Ensure NAMED COLLECTIVE acts morally and legally in all people / talent matters
- Implement benefits and wellbeing initiatives
- Gain greater understanding of People/Talent industry best practice, with Direct to Consumer eCommerce focus;
- Positively impact and influence internal stakeholders and external partners;
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with the NAMED COLLECTIVE team
About You
To succeed at NAMED COLLECTIVE, you must have an entrepreneurial mindset and a growth-oriented attitude. The ideal candidate must be comfortable with ambiguity and able to navigate the fast-paced and constantly evolving nature of our direct to consumer, e-commerce business. You must be willing to take calculated risks and have a bias for action, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get involved in all aspects of the business. You must be a strategic thinker, with the ability to balance short-term tactics and objectives with long-term vision and goals.
You have:
- 8+ years HR experience
- CIPD level 5 or above (or equivalent experience)
- Worked for a high growth, scale up business ideally within retail/ eCommerce/D2C brand
- Have developed / built a People Function which has resulted in high eNPS / Award winning talent / culture
- Experience of end to end recruitment including advertising, interviewing & selection
- Experience in coaching employees, conducting 121 reviews, and identifying development and training needs
- A sound knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Experience of creating and reviewing policies and employee handbooks
- Partnered with key stakeholders to provide HR support and guidance
- High emotional intelligence
