About the role
This role is career defining; allowing the right candidate to make their mark, learn while doing and work to propel THE BEAUTY CROP into a trail-blazing, aspirational global beauty brand;
Reporting to our Founder and CEO, you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts and brokers in the UK. As a National account manager, you should be organised and able to analyse performance metrics. have great negotiation skills and the ability to foster deep relationships / partnerships with our B2B customers.
Roles & responsibilities...
- Plan and oversee sales targets with brokers / customers, own the P&L per account including all relevant costs such as COG’s, Distribution costs and marketing spends;
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers / brokers;
- Forward plan inventory levels with customer and internal teams to ensure optimum sell through rate
- Coordinate promo events and new product launches with customer and internal marketing teams
- Investigate customers need and wants;
- Develop annual account business trade plans;
- Establish excellent relationship with key accounts and customers to keep up with customer needs and assist in substantially growing the business;
- Serve as a contact person for customers and internal teams;
- Research and source potential customers;
- Ensure adherence to all relevant brand guidelines;
- Track, measure and evaluate sales metrics and trends;
- Track, measure and evaluate customer satisfaction metrics and trends;
- Suggest innovative ways of increasing customer satisfaction;
- Generate tools and ideas for improving national account customers' experience selling our product and services;
- Collaborate with Product, Brand Marketing and wider business functions;
- Keep abreast of industry and market trend and best practices;
- Monitoring stock levels and demand in cooperation with our wholesale operations team.
About you
To succeed at The Beauty Crop, you must have an entrepreneurial mindset and a growth-oriented attitude. The ideal candidate must be comfortable with ambiguity and able to navigate the fast-paced and constantly evolving nature of our direct to consumer, e-commerce and wholesale/retail cosmetics business. You must be willing to take calculated risks and have a bias for action, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get involved in all aspects of the business. You must be a strategic thinker, with the ability to balance short-term tactics and objectives with long-term vision and goals.
Additionally, you must be customer-focused and have a deep understanding of our target audience. You must be passionate about cosmetics and have your finger on the pulse of the latest national account management techniques, process and cosmetics / beauty trends and styles. You must be creative and innovative, with the ability to anticipate and respond to changing consumer / customer needs and preferences, before they happen.
- Communication skills: You will be responsible for communicating with customers, colleagues and other stakeholders at Women’s Best. You are also responsible for creating presentations and other written materials. Strong communication skills will help you convey your ideas clearly and concisely.
- Technical knowledge: Technical knowledge in supplements will help you to better communicate with clients and prospects. It can also help you to better understand the products and services we offer today and an opportunity to build a product range of the future.
- Problem-solving skills: As an account manager, you will be responsible for resolving issues that arise between a company and our customers.
- Relationship building: As an account manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients, colleagues and other business partners. This skill can help you build trust and foster positive working relationships that lead to increased sales and customer satisfaction.
- Leadership: As an account manager, We’d expect you to build a team of account representatives and your leadership skills will help you guide your future team to success by providing clear expectations, offering praise when they meet goals and providing constructive feedback when they need to improve.
Requirements...
- 2-3 years’ NAM experience in with national / beauty / general retailers / wholesalers
- Excellent knowledge of B2B sales analysis and metrics
- Hands on experience with B2B CRM software
