About the Role
This role is career defining; allowing the right candidate to make their mark, learn while doing and work to propel The Beauty Crop into a trail-blazing, aspirational global beauty brand.
Reporting to our Founder & CEO, you’ll take strategic and day-to-day tactical ownership for our direct to consumer sales revenue across our markets. You’ll need to have commercial acumen to trade whilst delivering against overall revenue and profit targets.
Main Accountabilities include...
Strategic Support:
- Develop and implement eCommerce (CRO) strategies & tactics that align with the company’s growth and financial objectives - with particular attention to our needs internationally - and enhance efficiency and scalability,
- Collaborate with senior management to define operational goals and KPIs;
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all areas of eCommerce trading;
Tactical Execution:
- Manage all aspects of day-to-day trading of the The Beauty Crop's eCommerce site to achieve revenue growth;
- Define and track KPIs for customer acquisition, site trading metrics, customer lifetime value, product performance, loyalty program engagement, and trading metrics- generating relevant reporting daily, weekly, monthly result vs targets;
- Create and own the trading calendar which details how we’ll hit all financial targets and KPIs;
- Own the analytical and CRO tools that will help unlock greater insight to build hypotheses and then test in order to generate incremental output against your KPIs;
- Translate data insights into actionable recommendations for optimising the customer journey, trading decisions and driving CLTV
- Define, shape and implement a long-term e-commerce strategy and tactics to exceed revenue targets and KPIs and proactively seek opportunities to drive incremental growth, engaging key stakeholders across all areas of the Product, Brand, Marketing, Finance and Operations functions;
- Work with Marketing function to build, execute and optimise marketing tactics to generate incremental traffic to the site - building market leading landing pages and journeys;
- Lead the SEO strategy across both UK and US to ensure the website is following best practices and pinpoint any areas to develop further.
- Own all visual merchandising of the e-commerce site from product to signposting and work with the Content and Brand teams to create engaging content that drives engagement and sales;
- Feed into the product strategy with data & insights from e-commerce sales to create products our target audience and consumers love;
- Support and challenge the Technology partners to design, develop and deploy the tools you need to deliver your objectives, quickly resolving any short-term bugs or general functionality issues;
- Unlock customer and business insight (through deep segmentation) to optimise our e-commerce activities; Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
- Keep up to date and provide expertise on current e-commerce industry best practice, with Trading / CRO focus;
- Positively impact and influence internal stakeholders and external partners;Lead and inspire the eCommerce team to achieve ambitious growth targets.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with company stakeholders and partners;
- Think like a customer, all the time, every day.
About You
- 5+ years’ experience as an eCommerce Trading Manager in a direct to consumer eCommerce brand, ideally within the beauty category along with experience across the UK and US;
- Fully operational to leading edge experience of Shopify Plus and common 3rd party applications - with technical capability;
- Fully operational to leading edge experience with Analytical / CRO tools like Google Analytics etc - Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Working knowledge of demand creation and optimisation of inbound traffic channels from Organic, Earned, Paid Media & CRM;
- Intellectual and emotional intelligence; you understand how to maximise output in conversion activity where a blend of skills and experience are required (data analysis vs creative visual merchandising and UX are quite different approaches);
- A test and learn methodology at the heart of your execution;
- Able to work in a high-performance environment and deliver against challenging deadlines;
- Willingness to learn new approaches and adapt to different working styles;
- Have a proven track record as a commercial individual, who understands brand, fans and customers;
- You are independent and self-directed but able to work and lead a team of creative individuals;
- A quick learner who can process lots of information and prioritise / has a bias for action;
- Bullish about The Beauty Crop and its potential.
- Passion for the beauty industry and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
